Trial
What do you plead?
I know you probably feel guilt free
But The truth is you are so guilty
For everything you've ever done to me
For murder and betrayal
You returned my heart black and blue
I want to cross examine you
You killed my innocence and here we are in a court room
I hope they put you behind bars
For as long as it takes to heal my scars
Thats infinity baby you're gonna rot for a long time
A prisoner of your own heart
Let the promises you made stand as judge over us
My counsel the last remaining shred of my dignity
You're looking smug and prepared at the table
A defendant ....A murderer....its not just a label
And in my final argument as prosecutor
I ask the judge to serve you the justice I'd been looking for
You walk up to me shrouded by confidence
Ready to intimidate me now that the court's in recess
Looking at you now I wonder how I could have been fooled
Tears spring from my eyes at the sound of the gavel
You're free and I've been condemned to more pain
Years of thinking about the hurt and the look on your face
Walking across the room you offer your hands to be civil
Taking the knife I ram it straight into your chest
In the presence of the witnesses I might as well be condemned to death.
Nice nice
