For God so loved the world….

Sometimes I can’t help but wonder 

What our fate would have been if God had sent a daughter 

To die for the sins of the world, would she have been forced to conform to the times ?

Or break out of the mold?

For one thing the family wouldn’t have fled to escape Herod

He must have known her birth would be underestimated 

As Gods own begotten daughter would she have been betrothed?

Married of at thirteen, grinding grain, baking bread and weaving thread

Or would she have disciples with whom she breaks bread?

If God had sent a daughter 

Unlikely to be educated, would she still teach large crowds?

Healing the sick and raising the dead, would she be labeled a witch and burned at the stake ?

Or worshiped as a goddess or sold off to a wealthy nation?

If God had sent a daughter 

Would men lower their heads and listen to her speak?

Would the kingdom of God have progressed even an inch?

If God had sent a daughter

Would she have survived long enough to die for our sins?
