Stereotypes
Skinny waist perky voice pert butt fair skin somehow that's pretty
Size16 dark skin big brains generous bootty
Somehow that's not
Walking the halls looking down in shame
Made to feel the creator made a mistake
Condescended downgraded uncomfortable in one's own skin
Low carb diet strenuous runs and rigorous exercise regimes
Being told how ugly u are doesn't hurt as much as believing in it
Taking drastic measures changing just to fit in
I'm a victim of this thinking
Bruised and battered within
Made to know I'm a freak show
I'm not worth the time I'm heavy and way to slow
I'd like to think all these are lies
that you can live a good life with a larger size
But I know the truth that's only a dream
An illusion invented by people who haven't lived and breathed in the shadow of a stereotype
