Perfect??

Perfection
What does it mean?
Is it having a pretty face and smooth skin?
Is it having a slim waist and rocking body?
We're all striving to be perfect
But do we really know what that entails
Does it mean a particular set of characteristics?
Or does it mean physical beauty?
It could be both
But why is a white cloth perfect untouched
But once stained it's ruined, sometimes beyond repair
Aren't we like the cloth?
Our mistakes the stains?
And even after soaking the cloth In redemption
Does it ever go back to being immaculate? What about the stains that don't fade?
I'm talking about those scars that are etched deep
With such blemishes, still perfect?
How about our flaws?
Our imperfections and weaknesses that detracts from us as a whole
Can we have such imperfections and still chase perfection?
I've come to a conclusion that
Chasing perfection is like a wild goose chase
As you forge on, you gain more stains and deepen flaws
No one can ever be perfect, completely stain free even after use
Our scars form our strengths and our pain gives us courage
Our flaws make us who we are
Every one's got one
So now what is perfection?
Is it overcoming those imperfections and wiping away those stains or is it doing the good you can do and striving to do better?
