CRAZED
Staring at the white walls numb not feeling
Rocking back and forth still believing
That one day out of the bleak darkness shall arise
A Knight in shining Armour ready to claim his prize
Me! Me! I scream loudly as I bang my hands at the walls
Tired of this cage, the voices, tired of it all
Smiling I crawl over to the corner
As I hear the padded footsteps coming over
Slipping on a psychotic smile and a crazed grin
Cackling softly to myself as she walked in
Looking at me with standard pity and mechanical courtesy
Pushing me more to the edge ever so swiftly
Violently shaking I get up
Tilting my head to the side as she stared, lost
Gazing into my whirlpools of pain and despair she gasped
Slipping on the smile, a broken laugh ringing out as I stepped back
Turning on her heels she ran out. No doubt what she'd seen caused that
Sitting back in my corner Gazing silently at the walls
Laughing softly as I heard the commotion down the halls
Schooling my features to normal, the fear in her eyes I recall
As she tried to reconcile the intelligence witnessed and the emptiness known, wondering if it it was all in her head
