Waiting

Staring at the phone waiting, just waiting
Time flies by,  worried,  fear escalating
Wondering, thinking what could be happening
To cause the silence, the reason why your not communicating

As she turns around her phone pings she hurries back
Hoping and praying it's you, silently pleading to get back on track
But she knows deep down inside it's not you
Your a phantom, an illusion she thought desperately to be true

Sighing she sits, holding her head in her hands
Laughing as she looked at where she stands
Empty and broken without your voice
Choice ripped away, falling into an empty void

Standing up she gazes out the window
As the rain falls hard, turbulent, putting on a good show
Wind howling, roof clanking she smiles
As the weather portrays clearly what she's feeling inside

Wondering if she'll ever get over this at all
Questions running through her mind on free fall
Why won't you reach out to her she ponders?
Where you lying when you said you'll miss her she Wonders?
