Blank page a writers canvas
Put your feelings into words that's all that matters
Twists and turns and amazing climaxes
To carry people along and cause traffic
Put a pen to paper and create magic
Like beautiful strokes of a painters brush but powerful words resonating and tragic

That is the burden a word smith must bear
To put minds at rest yet instill fear
To put grief into words and pain into poems
To dig deep into the hearts of men like a shovel

But the stringer of words himself has a great burden
Haunted and plagued by personal demons yet coining out something lovely
During times when the wounds of the past are ripped anew
He looses himself in the words finding solace in the letter filled sea

Staring at the pages now no longer blank
The feeling of warmth as it spreads down my back
Happy to have been able to fill up the spaces
With words with deeper meaning and double phrases
