Searching
Walking through the halls, floor boards creaking
Listening to the eerie quiet, no one speaking
As the aura around her sparked, she looked searching
Room by room she went, eyes sweeping
The entire vast space of her unwanted memories
Combing through the recesses of her mind for those stories
That held the key to building back her bridges
To lead her back into the world, into reality
But search as she might it was elusive
As she tip toed down the hall not to awake from sleep
The demons of her past that reside within
She kept on digging, searching the deep
The treacherous waters of her past invading
Everything she had laid to rest, things she'd forgiven
But she didn't know, Oh how could she
That her search would break em free
The demons she'd carefully kept hidden
Where disturbed, awoken from hibernation
Furious and hungry for what to feast on
She needed to stop, forgoe her quest and run
For while the truth is necessary to obtain
Nothing is worth them roaming wildly and untamed
Unhindered they would likely drive her insane
Seeing reason she took to leaving, shutting doors in place
Sad she couldn't find the solution, the reason why she came
But she had to leave and save her search for another day
For the ground beneath her begun shaking, the walls crumbling
Struggling to get out as the world around her kept unravelling
She swore to be back one day, I hope she'd avoid that tragedy
