Killers note

She walked down the hall black as night
Leaving a trail of blood behind from the edge of her knife
Head held high disappearing into the darkness
The faraway sounds of sirens drawing closer
The images of the house, the bloody massacre
Gave her tingles and pleasurable shivers
The memory of the blade cutting thru flesh
The spray of blood as she smiled and rolled her neck.

Crouching down behind the tree
Police scrambling, increasing the high of being free
Anticipation of the perfectly timed moment
The exposing of his blood wrapped present
As the man in the suit arrived on the scene
her pulse quickened as she recalled it was buried underneath the limbs
She cracked a smile as she knew it was time
She watched as the man took in the sight
As the uniformed men wretched, she laughed in delight.

She focused back on the man in the suit as he bent down with a frown
Her heart began to race and the voices in her head sang her praise
As she recalled how carefully it had been placed
Under a sickening sight of disembodied parts
Her breath caught as the man picked up the note
Abruptly she stood up, walking a way with her tote
As she heard the suited man crash to the ground she let out a giggle as she stared at her hands
Recalling the lives she'd taken, the words she'd written and how it had gone as planned

Happy that the contents of the note remained unknown
But she knew that another with a killers mind is bound to know
