Nightmare
As I walk through the garden
The sun in the sky bright and burning
I take in the smell of the trees and the birds of the air
Pecking and singing their voice oh so clear
I look around the vast space
Eyes on the fountain, I run to it in haste
As I approach the lights dim, the colors fade
Vines twist around my feet, a halt in the Springs cascade
I stare into the once clear waters
I see an image, a face that causes shivers
I scream in horror as I run back to the gates
Sky cloudy, hail falling loudly, voices scream it's to late
As I reach out to escape this dimension
I feel a hand pull me back into this vortex
A piercing scream jolts me out of sleep
As I look back to piece together the fragments of my dream
My head in my hands trying to breathe
Turning around feeling so weak
So I lay back down whispering soothing words
To my troubled soul bringing up images from another world
